The Whitestone PTA is proud to support the school's Math Pentathlon Club!
What is Math Pentathlon?
Math Pentathlon is an after school enrichment program with fun, interactive, problem-solving games that strengthen basic math concepts and skills, and promote creative and strategic thinking. Near the end of the school year, a regional tournament is held giving student an opportunity to compete and celebrate their accomplishments for the year.
Whitestone Elementary School PTA is pleased to offer the Math Pentathlon (MP) program for the Tenth year in a row! This national, after-school Math Enrichment program consists of fun, interactive, problem-solving games that strengthen basic math concepts and skills and promote creative and strategic thinking.

When is Math Pentathlon?
Time: Thursdays 2:45-3:30pm
Place: Whitestone Elementary Cafeteria
Time Period: October 24, 2024 – April, 24 2025. End date may vary depending on the division tournament date. The MP Tournaments usually occur in April.
NOTE: There is no bus transportation for MP, therefore, student pick-up is parent pick-up only, at the green line at 3:30 PM on practice days.
How can my student join the Math Pentathlon Club?
PARENT VOLUNTEERS REQUIRED: MP is 100% volunteer run. The quality of this after-school enrichment program is based on the volunteers who support it. NOTE: All parents must sign up to volunteer for specific dates at the time of registration.
PARENT VOLUNTEER TRAINING: Math pentathlon orientation for new families will be held on Oct 17th from 2:45-3:15 PM at the cafeteria. Game practice schedules, tournament details, learning games, Volunteer signup etc. will be discussed on that day, along with Q&A.
Registration is now open! Register here by September 30th, 2024. Limited seats are available in each division and registrants will be accepted on a first come first serve basis. The Math pentathlon team will send out an email once your child's registration is confirmed on October 5th.
